Beginning of I is a project of twenty-four drawings of my father on transparent architectural square paper.
It is an investigation of personal, private memories and experiences with a desire to re-identify myself. In these drawings I focus on the idea of father and distance myself from my life. There is a necessity to change before there can be closeness; I created a sexualized protagonist which I can now relate to.
With a child’s mindset, I allowed myself to play with different gestures and lines to discover a new view and connection in our relationship.
