‘Two Culture, is a spoken word performance commission by Tom Stockley and staged at BSJWT at Porthmeor Studios. Two culture was very influenced by the work of artist Bruce Nauman and Adrian Piper. Two culture arose in part as a response to a work by Bruce Nauman ‘Good Boy , Bad Boy’ and in part a literal translation of the song of ‘Donence’ written and sung by Turkish popular singer Baris Manco. In the original version of this piece the work is maintained female and male voice repeating the same text. In this version it is cut, combine and juxtaposed the length of the work.
