Imagine the Future

Imagine the Future is a video collage of time and space questioning our social communication with one another. The work uses politically charged drone technology to penetrate the artwork, drawing the viewer in and out of proximity to the artist's body. By positioning the body in relation to provocative moving images the work mimics aspects of social media: our ability to immediately locate ourselves in different spaces and how volatile this makes our motivation and desire. Time and space collapse as the artist's body moves through them, activating familiar historical and political motifs in bizarre and unfamiliar contexts.
